Where are you located?

When is Welford Park open to the public?

Welford Park is a private working farm and house and is not open to the public all year round. Please look at our Opening Times page for more details.

Do you serve food and drink?

During the snowdrops season, our heated marquee, which is especially suitable for those with dogs and children is open from 11:00 a.m. serving homemade cakes, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and juices. Lunches are served from 12:00 p.m. We take great trouble to source locally what we cannot provide ourselves.

During Spectacle of Light, we will have local food trucks serving delicious gourmet hot food and savoury treats. There will also be a covered bar serving soft and alcoholic drinks.

Are dogs allowed?
Friendly dogs are welcome but must be kept on their leads at all times. Dogs are also welcome in the heated marquee.

We also ask that dogs leave nothing behind and please put used bags in the bins.

Is Parking Free?
Yes, we have a free car park, please follow the signs and the staff will show you where to park.

This will give you plenty of time to relax and enjoy the tea tent during Snowdrops or the bar during Spectacle of Light!

Do I need to book?

We always recommend to pre-book your tickets, to make things easier for you including faster entry, one quick scan and you will be through the gates. Advanced booking is via our website (don’t miss out on early bird deals!) or alternatively we do take cash/card payments at the ticket office on the day.

I would like to bring a coach party to visit
We limit the number of coaches we take each day so it is very important that you book in advance.

Coaches are allocated an arrival time and payment is required in advance of arrival. Please either telephone, (during office hours) 01488 608691 or email contact@welfordpark.co.uk

Accessibility

We are committed to providing an accessible attraction, and we strive to ensure that visitors with disabilities can enjoy as much of our magnificent grounds as possible.

Many of our paths are hardcore but we also have woodchipped paths due to the nature of the woodland, which are tough but not impossible for wheelchairs and prams to use.

For Snowdrop visitors, there is one accessible route to the snowdrop wood, heated marquee and gift shop, please ask a member of staff for directions. Accessible toilets are located opposite the heated marquee. We have baby changing facilities at the toilet block next to the giraffe statues by the side of the main house.

For Spectacle of Light visitors, carers go free (and do not require a ticket) when accompanying an adult or child ticket holder in their care. Please show one of the following documentation at the ticket gate: 1. Disability Living Allowance, Disability Benefits, Carer’s Allowance or Attendance Allowance letter. 2. Personal Independence Payment Letter. 3. Letter from GP or consultant confirming the need for a full time carer (this does not need to be a letter of diagnosis). 4. Carer’s Card. 5. Local Authority Assessment. Blue badges are not an accepted form of documentation. Accessible toilets are located at the food village on the front lawn. We have baby changing facilities at the toilet block next to the giraffe statues by the side of the main house. The trail is predominatly woodchipped due to the nature of the terrain, which can be tough going for some wheelchair users, especially during wet weather.

For both Snowdrops and Spectacle of Light, there is disabled parking available opposite the front gates. Our road crossing officers will be able to direct you and assist you to cross the road.

If you have any other questions, or wish to arrange any additional support for your visit please email contact@welfordpark.co.uk
